Finding the balance of information and cost

We recently worked with one of our DoE coaching clients to determine the best experimental approach for a project with 2 main challenges: a) several categorical factors and b) expensive analysis (approx. $1000 a sample!). Normally (a) results in high experiment numbers which doesn't work well for (b)!

These clients have attended our DoE training course, have a strong understanding of DoE and are implementing it independently but are able to come to us for guidance and help to tackle the more advanced aspects of experimental design. We gave them a couple of options for designs to do – showing them the balance of information gained (or lost) against experiments required. Now we wait for them to carry out the designs and perform the analysis and will be as involved again to check the analysis or help out if needed. This option of consultancy support is great for our smaller clients who are confident to run designs independently, but have back-up on hand to assist when things are not quite straightforward, or want the assurance from someone else checking their models.

Email us if you want to know more about DoE, whether you are a complete novice or you are implementing design but need help with more advanced problems.
